This is a motor homunculus

This model shows what a man’s body would look like if each part grew in proportion to the area of the cortex of the brain concerned with its movement.

I knew the hands used a lot of processing power but I had no idea it would be that much!

This partially explains why a really bad paper cut feels like it’s the end of the world, and sometimes you get a gash on your leg and might not even notice until later.
